Adult NeuroDevelopment

Mental longevity becomes increasingly important as we live longer and experience reoccurring and additional demands on life and work.

Adult neurodevelopment programs focus on enhancing mental fitness which promotes longevity, health, and peak performance.

If we feel we are not living up to our expectations or cannot meet our daily challenges with ease we tend to become depressed. Life becomes mundane and we experience boredom, loneliness, and fear.

Unfortunately, around the age of 40 many adults begin to experience a loss in sharpness and memory ability. At this age certain areas of brain function begin to slow down just as the overall metabolic rate in the body slows down. The brain begins to lose peak processing abilities.

Mental fitness training allows us to increase our mental acuity and experience a sense of freedom from these stressors and anxiety.

Neurodevelopment training enhances brain performance just like exercising keeps the body in healthy condition.

In order to create a solid mental fitness program we begin by identifying how the brain is processing information with the use of a qEEG brain map and neurodevelopment evaluation. The brain map will screen for dementia, short term memory loss, depressions, and ADD. It will also identify whether the issue at hand is physiological or psychological in nature.

If the problem is physiological we look at nutritional factors or toxicity caused by medication and/or environmental pollutants.

The neurodevelopment evaluation identifies missed stages of development in childhood that may be hindering our performance even in adulthood.

We also notice that improper nutrition, smoking, drinking, and medications all have an affect on brain processing. Exposure to environmental pollutants for long periods of time causes sluggish functioning, therefore we are not as motivated or able to deal with life demands.

Exposure to pollutants and improper nutrition are currently being examined as possible causes for Alzheimer's, memory loss, and dementia.
This is why neurodevelopment training is so important.

In order to correct and enhance brain processing, Crossroads Institute has developed neurodevelopment exercises used in conjunction with neurotherapy. This combined approach has demonstrated an effective impact on reversing the process of aging and enhancing peak mental performance.
