ADD it is a broad category of attentional issues. In adults those attentional issues may be caused by biological issues, short term memory issues, or cognitive-functional issues. In order to determine whether ADD is the true issue, Crossroads Institute will always start with a complete brain map followed by neurodevelopmental assessments. The brain map
has two parts. It compares normal brain waves and where the brain
waves deviate from normal and it compares your brain waves to
other ADD brain waves. It is very specific. That is the power
of it. These measures will show if ADD is present or whether the issues may stem from nutrition, allergies or other environmental issues. If ADD is indicated, FNS Neurotherapy will be used. We believe it is the most effective system for use with ADD. It works by breaking up neuro-inhibitors that may be causing the imbalance in the attentional systems. This is done by "exercising" the brain waves to reach certain attentional states. Instead of using medications which do not correct ADD, but rather mask the issues, neurotherapy can retrain the brain to process efficiently and focus appropriately.
