Introduction

Crossroads Neurodevelopment Skills Profile is a proprietary assessment profile system developed after more than twenty-five years of Human Development research. This research has resulted in the development of a reporting tool that yields truly objective measures to many neurodevelopment and brain related processing issues.

Assessment and technical reporting services will make the diagnostic process more accessible, simplifying the reporting process, saving you money and time.

Better Assessments Yield Better Programs!

Without the use of truly objective assessments many educational and mental health conditions maybe misinterpreted as a structural brain dysfunction instead of as a simple processing problem. This interpretation generally, results in recommendation of medication treatment programs designed for the treatment of these structural issues. But often the problem is related to a processing disorganization of the brain's interrelated functional systems. This disorganization often produces processing problems or and may lye in one of the supporting receptive or expressive neural pathways instead the brain itself and goes undetected.
What is needed is a way to match a person's specific educational or mental condition with an optimal correction program, which is a reliable, accurate, safe and economical. This assessment needs to include the total brain's processing functions.

Crossroads Neurodevelopment & qEEG Solution- Easier, Better, Cheaper!

Crossroads assessment services make the diagnostic process more accessible than ever before, simplifying the reporting process, saving you money, and freeing up your valuable time.

The purpose of the CNAA system of assessments is to aid educational and health care practitioners by providing a truly objective assessment of "brain processing" issues found within many of the different functional brain systems, including the receptive input pathways and expressive output pathways.

The Assessment evaluates the brain's processing functions from multiple points of view including neurodevelopment, sensory integration and brain wave processing (qEEG Brain Maps). The following functional brain systems are addressed:

NeuroDevelopment and qEEG Descriptive Technical Report

The report outlines key features and highlights of the analysis, indicating prominent features of the client's neurodevelopment profile, sensory integration profile, memory and learning profiles, and qEEG. The report highlights those characteristics found to be the most significant statistical contributors to the discriminate findings.

The remainder of the report consists of specific analysis results in various forms. This includes an FDA approved qEEG Brain Map.

The qEEG -
qEEG (Quantitative Electroencephalography) is a non-invasive diagnostic technique for performing brain electrical spectrum analysis. QEEG measures functional, or "cognitive," abnormalities, where MRI or CT scanning of the brain reveals structural abnormalities. Clinically, a QEEG can serve as a road map for a treatment plan as well as a means of pre-post benchmarking to assess treatment effectiveness.

Discriminant Equations- Using the Discriminate Equations, practitioners can statistically compare the EEG of a individuals with the profiles found in the following clinical categories and conditions:

This procedure can be useful as an adjunct to traditional clinical classification, as it provides a sensitive and specific method to detect subtle variations in the activity of the brain. These subtleties might otherwise go unnoticed by the attending clinician, but may provide evidence of an underlying pathological condition that needs to be recognized, evaluated, and treated.
