Kids NeuroDevelopment Assessment
Sensory Profile

The Sensory Processing Profile provides a standard method for measuring and reporting sensory processing abilities. It is an integral part of the comprehensive Crossroads Neurodevelopment Abilities Assessment (CNAA).

The purpose of the profile is to provide a tool for linking performance strengths and barriers with sensory processing patterns.

The profile's goal is to provide insight into the sensory world by grouping information into nine meaningful factors.

  • Sensory Seeking
  • Emotionally Reactive
  • Low Endurance/Tone
  • Oral Sensory Sensitivity
  • Inattention/Distractibility
  • Poor Registration
  • Sensory Sensitivity
  • Sedentary
  • Fine Motor/Perceptual

Each measure describes a person's response to various sensory experiences.

The respondent/caregiver who has daily contact with the client completes the questionnaire by reporting the frequency in which certain behaviors occur.

During the evaluation the evaluator will have the child perform specific tasks which demonstrate which stage of neurological development the child has completed and which ones they have not.
